Creating a Safe Place to Belong

Camp Get-A-Way transforms the lives of children and families facing the challenges of emotional, behavioral, and mental illnesses. It’s a safe place where families can play and bond in the great outdoors while trying new things, creating memories, sharing laughter, and finding hope.


Camp Get-A-Way was founded in 2002 by a group of people with a passion to support families dealing with emotional, behavioral, or mental illnesses. They created a specific yet traditional camp experience that allows families and children to know they are not alone, and provides them the opportunity to enjoy each other in a safe space. Initially desiring a logo refresh, Camp Get-A-Way contacted Anna Montgomery & Co to provide expertise and design skills to update their brand.


The logo refresh quickly transitioned into a rebrand when we determined together that their original logo was no longer an accurate representation of the camp. After designing a new brand and logo, our team began implementation throughout their website, print materials, and various marketing tools. We also streamlined their communications by replacing the Camp Get-A-Way’s complicated paper registration forms with branded HIPAA-compliant registration and medical forms, available for instant access through the camp website.


A couple years after completing their rebrand and website, the Board of Directors reached back out with another project. Through a communications flex retainer, our team partnered with their leadership to support Camp Get-A-Way with marketing, communications, and development tasks.


Through our rebrand process, we helped the Camp Get-A-Way team articulate their vision and communicate the camp experience. Making forms and documents more accessible allowed Camp Get-A-Way to live out their mission in all aspects of their ministry. By improving communications, implementing a new brand, and holistically improving the camp experience, donor investment increased and camper engagement was boosted, leading to ministry growth and further opportunities.
